Cresa Names Nathan Knowles, Market Leader - Atlanta to Oversee Strategic Growth and Direction

ATLANTA (October 20, 2026)—Cresa, the world’s leading occupier-focused commercial real estate firm, has hired Atlanta native Nathan Knowles as Executive Managing Principal/Atlanta Market Leader to oversee strategic growth and direction in the region.

“Atlanta is a very important market for Cresa,” said Julie Northcutt-Dunn, President, Markets. “Nathan’s deep roots and proven track record of success are a real advantage for us as we continue to strengthen our client-first platform. We are thrilled he has joined our team and look forward to building our presence across the region.”

Knowles joins Cresa from Transwestern, where he served as Executive Managing Director and Principal for the Southeast region, leading operations and M&A activity. Previously he was an Executive Managing Director and Principal at Colliers, where he led a 400-person team and partnership in the Atlanta region. He got his start in commercial real estate at JLL as an industrial broker focused on tenant representation and national accounts.

Knowles spent the first half of his career serving in a variety of leadership roles at GE, LG, and Electrolux, gaining firsthand experience in end-to-end supply chain operations. He has had the opportunity to see the commercial real estate industry from many different perspectives, which shaped how he thinks about leadership, clients, and growth.

“I’m delighted to join Cresa and bring this experience to the firm,” said Knowles. “Cresa brings together the best elements of the companies I worked for previously—exceptionally talented people, a laser focus on clients, the right scale, and best-in-class technology to help its employees succeed. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team and contributing to the future success of Cresa Atlanta.”

Knowles holds an MBA from Emory University and a BSBA from the University of Arkansas, where he was an all-SEC honoree and NCAA track and field champion.
